What is an AAHA accreditation?

As an AAHA-accredited hospital, we are Champions for Excellent Care. We hold ourselves to a higher standard (up to 900 higher standards, in fact). Pets are our passion, and keeping them healthy is our number one priority. We strive to deliver excellent care for pets—because pets deserve nothing less.

Today, only 12%–15% of veterinary practices in the US and Canada hold the “AAHA-accredited” designation.

AAHA is the only organization that accredits veterinary practices in the United States and Canada. Practices that accept the challenge of accreditation are evaluated on stringent quality standards that encompass all aspects of veterinary medicine—from pain management and patient care to team training and medical recordkeeping—and are continuously updated to keep accredited practice teams at the forefront of the profession.

What does this mean for me and my pet?

It means that our hospital holds itself to a higher standard and that your pet is receiving care at a hospital that has achieved the highest standards in veterinary care. AAHA sends consultants every three years to evaluate us on our adherence to the AAHA Standards of Accreditation, including approximately 900 different standards of veterinary care.
