Meghan is from the Midwest and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing & Public Relations. She has experience working in both an agency and an in-house setting doing a mix of digital and traditional marketing. When Meghan isn’t working, she enjoys being on the water, working out, trying out new restaurants, and hanging out with her dog, Oakley. 

Meet Ellior,

Ellior recently moved to Boca Raton from Chicago and is attending FAU studying Biology. She hopes to go to veterinary school and is currently working towards that goal.

Ellior has grown up with dogs throughout her whole life and her dream throughout childhood has always been to become a veterinarian. Currently, Ellior has a chihuahua named Rosie, a maltese named Bella and a cat named Abu.

Meet Esther,

Esther recently graduated from University of Central Florida in Orlando and moved back to Boca Raton following her graduation. Esther was a veterinary technician for a little while in Orlando and is really excited to work with everyone at West Delray Vet and learn from new people.

Esther hopes to gain as much experience as possible in veterinary medicine so that she can apply to veterinary school and work towards her goal of becoming a veterinarian!

Hello! I am a Floridian born and raised. Animals have always been my passion. Veterinary Medicine changed my life in 2017 and I am grateful to get to do what I love everyday. Building relationships with my my patients and clients is something I take great pride in. Senior care is where my heart resides.. In my free time; I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my dog Rubee that I adopted in 2016 and my cat Pepper that I rescued as a stray in summer of 2024. I love to spend time with my fiancé, we are concert  & movie junkies! I also enjoy cooking, kayaking, playing tennis & hula hooping!

Ceara was born and raised in New Jersey and will always consider herself a Jersey girl at heart. Growing up with a dog and three cats, she knew from a young age that she wanted to be an advocate and care for animal’s. Ceara moved to Florida for college and found an opportunity to have a career in the veterinary field in South Florida. She started as a kennel technician and worked her way up to becoming a veterinary technician. After 2+ years working in the veterinary field, Ceara and her partner moved to Colorado to experience the Rocky Mountains. Two years later, Ceara has become a registered veterinary technician and is moving back to South Florida to continue her career in the veterinary field. Ceara has a fierce passion for veterinary medicine and wants to provide the highest standard of care for pet parents and their fur babies. In her spare time Ceara enjoys adventures in America’s national parks, spending time with her partner, her dog Lennon, her cat Beau and film photography. Ceara hopes to one day adventure in all of America’s national parks!

Meet Valentina,

Valentina was born and raised in Boca Raton, FL but has spent the last 4 years living in the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina doing a lot of hiking.

She absolutely loves animals and is very excited to be part of the West Delray Vet team. In her free time, Valentina loves to travel and spend time with family and friends. She enjoys anything outdoors, especially the beach, and spends most of her time hanging out with her 3-year-old border collie, Jameson!

Originally from a small town in Texas, Melissa grew up surrounded by many cats, dogs and cattle. As far back as she remembers, she has wanted to help animals in need. One of her lifelong dreams is to establish an animal sanctuary, with a special focus on providing care for senior animals and those who’ve suffered abuse or require rehabilitation.

In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time with friends, gaming or relaxing at home with her 1-year-old Catahoula/Pit Bull mix Beau and two cats Ripley and Charlie. She also loves to travel and come up with new recipes to bake for her friends.

Meet Krystal,

Krystal began her veterinary technician career after attending Fox College Tech Institute in Illinois. After graduating she practiced shelter medicine before finding my love for general practice medicine. In 2018, Krystal moved to Denver to continue working in general practice before moving to Lake Worth, where she currently resides, to be closer to family and the beaches.

Krystal enjoys client education and helping pet owners feel part of the family when they come to the office. When she’s not working, Krystal enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her daughter Ozzy.

Meet Deana,

Deana is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who specializes in canine physical rehabilitation and pain management. She became certified in Canine Rehabilitation through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in Florida in 2010. She also attended the Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage in 2011 to become a Certified Canine Massage Therapist.

Deana studied Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine for Veterinary Technicians through the Chi Institute in 2012. She received her Veterinary Technician Specialty in Physical Rehabilitation through the Academy of Physical Rehabilitation Veterinary Technicians in 2017. She has served on the APRVT Board of Directors as the Executive Secretary and currently sits as the Continuing Education Chair. Deana is also a member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management and a Fear Free Certified Professional.

Deana actively lectures to the veterinary community and general public and continues to contribute to peer-reviewed publications and educational textbooks. Deana provided leadership to specialty rehab departments from NY to South Florida and has a strong interest in teaching and learning.

When she is not working, Deana enjoys spending quality time with her own animals and enjoys being out in nature.

Meet Erika,

Erika was born and raised in NYC. She knew from a young age that she wanted to help and advocate for animals. Erika received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and decided to go back to school to become a veterinary technician. Erika has been working in the veterinary field for over 15 years! She was a licensed veterinary technician for 9 years in NYC. Erika says she has a sweet spot for senior pets and she adores Pitbulls. She is very passionate about surgery and providing quality nursing care to her patients. In her free time, she loves to relax at home with her four-legged babies, spending a day at the beach and doing Trap-Neuter-Release work. Erika looks forward to meeting you and your furbabies at West Delray Veterinary.

Alex was raised in New York and has always had an innate love, and empathy for animals.
She was inspired by her chihuahuas, Dexter and Charlie, to pursue a career in veterinary
medicine, as she wanted to play a key role in the healing of animals.

She is currently a student in Penn Foster’s Veterinary Technician Program and intends to
graduate with a license in 2022. Prior to moving to Florida, Alex ran a successful Pet Care
Service in NYC, Really Love Dogs, Inc., which included dog pack walking, dog training, and
cat sitting. Alex loved her role as a pack leader, working with her team, and creating amazing
relationships with pet owners. Alex also designs cruelty-free, punk rock apparel for dogs, and
has her own Etsy shop as well.

In her free time, Alex loves to spend time with family, being outdoors with Little Jerry, her 7-
year-old rescue chihuahua, working out, and going to the beach.

Alex is super excited to be a part of the West Delray Vet team and has a passion for
integrative medicine, alternative therapies, and nutrition.

Ron’s love for animals began at the young age of barely a year old with a German Shepard
named Duke, who was a police academy reject due to congenital hip issues. The two would be inseparable until his early teens. After working as a chef for nearly two decades, it was time for a change. With the desire to help animals in need, Ron attended and graduated the Veterinary Technician program at Sanford-Brown Institute, Ft. Lauderdale with honors. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two fur babies, and a water dragon.

Zoë was born and raised in South Florida and, in addition to working with our sweet domestic animals, works in wild marine mammal research and rescue. Zoë is passionate about not only helping animals but also the environment! To Zoë, veterinary medicine means striving to advocate for those that can’t advocate for themselves.

Zoë graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Biology and then from the University of Miami with a Master of Science in Marine Biology and Ecology with a specialization in Marine Mammal Biology. Before working with your furry loved ones at West Delray Veterinary, Zoë lived in the Florida Keys working with dolphins in marine mammal veterinary care and research! Since then, Zoë has added two adorable Australian shepherd puppies, Millie and Maple, to her family.

Under the guidance of the amazing veterinarians at West Delray Veterinary, Zoë was accepted into multiple veterinary programs and will be starting veterinary medical school at the University of London’s Royal Veterinary College in the Fall of 2022. With ocean conservation and animal well-being at the forefront of Zoë’s motivations, she plans to work in veterinary marine mammal rescue, rehabilitation, research, and conservation once she’s a licensed and practicing vet.

Jaime has been a Veterinary Technician in Palm Beach County for several years now. She really enjoys veterinary medicine and is very thankful she gets to do what she loves. Jaime has an amazing son who plays collegiate football, two dogs Sara and Deckoda, a tortoise named Lil One, and a bearded dragon named Steven. Jaime loves the beach and enjoys attending sporting events during her free time.

Ciro is originally from Brooklyn, NY! He has been working with animals since volunteering at his local Animal shelter at the age of 15. He has always had a strong passion for all animals, especially cats and dogs. Ciro has two cats of his own named Leo and Pudding. Ciro believes in positive reinforcement and spoiling all of our patients with lots of love! Ciro takes all of the amazing photos you see on our social media page! Ciro is an amazing photographer, and one of his photography goals is to photograph wildlife; mainly focusing on marine life. He even wants to photograph sharks!

Meet Melanie,

Melanie grew up in Coral Springs and attended Florida State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Meteorology. Melanie was in the Broadcast TV industry for 4-5 years but being closer to loved ones was more important to her and she is glad to be back in Florida! She is a big fan of Disney World and loves Disney movies. She also loves going to the beach, eating good food, and reading. Melanie and her husband have 2 fur babies, Gatsby, who is a very precious cat (but thinks he’s a dog), and Freyja, a German Sheperd and Husky mix rescue!

MJ is a native Floridian from Coral Springs. MJ has been in the Veterinary industry for the last 12 years. She was previously employed at Coral Springs Animal Hospital, where she worked mainly as a pharmacy
technician. MJ loves the philosophy of what Dr. Block holds for West Delray Veterinary, and she is excited to be a part of our team!

Meet Deidre,

Deidre is a Florida native and lived most of her life in the Fort Lauderdale area until 2010, when she left for college in Tallahassee. She attended Florida A & M University and shortly after started working for health insurance companies. One day, Deidre had an opportunity to be a part of an Animal Hospital team and enjoyed it so much that she preferred it over any other job she had. Deidre has two pets, Clover, an 8-year-old kitty and Honey, a 12-year-old pup. In her free time, she likes to hit the beach, workout, and relax at home.

Jody was born and raised in Westchester NY. After attending school at University of Miami, she decided cold weather wasn’t for her and relocated with her whole family in 2001. Jody grew up having multiple dogs at a time and has a huge love for anything animal related. Her spare time is spent with friends, family or on her peloton bike as fitness is her favorite hobby.

Meet Valeria,

Val is currently studying at Broward College, where she is majoring in psychology. Val moved here from Venezuela 5 years ago and is fully bilingual. She has a 2-year old mini-schnauzer named Venus. She enjoys dancing, knitting, spending time with friends and family, and trying new hobbies like ice skating, painting, and indoor skydiving.

Meet Danielle,

Danielle graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Florida Atlantic University in 2015. Danielle has always had a passion for animals and is excited to begin following that passion professionally.

During her free time, when she is not playing board games and binge-watching TV shows, she is spending time with her family and her two dogs, Cooper and Teddy.

Christina was born in Greece and grew up in Massachusetts speaking 3 languages fluently. Her love for animals and the desire to help them was initially sparked after spending long summers in Greece bonding with all the strays she would see. Christina graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelors in Communications and a minor in Hospitality. She has gained experience in a broad span of communication from content creation and marketing to copyrighting for a newspaper and PR. She is so happy to have finally found a way to incorporate her love for animals with her skills in marketing.

In her free time, she enjoys being creative through different forms of art. She also loves working out and visiting the beach with her porkie puppy Luna.

Meet Isabella,

Isabella’s passion for the veterinary medical field came from her interest in helping animals on a daily basis. She is currently enrolled to obtain her associate’s degree at Palm Beach State College and from there will proceed with a doctorate. Isabella’s main interest within the veterinary field is dentistry and she hopes to specialize in it one day. She has a 4-year-old Shih Tzu named Luna at home that she loves and cares for dearly. Isabella can’t wait to accomplish more in the future while continuing to learn and grow throughout West Delray Veterinary!

Meet Alanna,

Alanna started her veterinary career at the Bay Ridge Animal Hospital in Brooklyn, New York in 2002 as a veterinary assistant and later the Technician Supervisor. In 2015, Alanna joined the team of Worth Street Veterinary Center in Tribeca, New York. It was there she was introduced to an integrative approach to medicine and rehabilitation medicine. A year later she joined the team of Water4Dogs Rehabilitation Center and expanded her interest in geriatric and rehabilitative care.

Alanna has been a New York State Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2012. She completed her veterinary rehabilitation training from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute and became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Assistant in 2017. Alanna joined West Delray Veterinary as the Practice Manager in February 2020. Alanna’s special interests include Geriatric, Integrative and Rehabilitation medicine. Alanna also has a passion for caring for senior patients and is a senior animal foster mom.
